3D Orthotic Scans

In our never-ending desire to provide you with the newest technology, we utilize a 3D Foot Imaging System which provides information needed that is not obtained using 2D imaging systems. Our 3D system evaluates Static (non-movement), Dynamic (motion) Analysis, Pressure, Velocity, Body and Gait Analysis. This "Dynamic Performance Data" is used to determine Neutral Position of the Feet, thereby replacing plaster casting and foam impressions of the neutral joint. The 3D scanning process instantly captures a 3D image of your feet, identifying plantar pressure points, evaluates limb length discrepancies, and performs a comprehensive gait analysis, so much more information is obtained than from traditional plaster and foam casting. Allowing us to be more precise, this is accomplished through 3D plantar surfacing (electronic casting) for more stable & reliable Orthotic manufacturing. We see what you see. As a result, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee for one full year on all our digital Orthotics and lifetime guarantee against breakage on all polypro foot plates.

How the process works:

  1. You will need to stand on the pressure sensitive 3D imaging pad for a few seconds while an image is captured. This is the Static portion of the 3D scanning process.
  2. Then you will walk across the 3D imaging pad first with your Left foot and then with your Right foot. This portion of the process may take a few attempts to capture the optimum images. This is the Dynamic Analysis, Pressure, Velocity, Body and Gait Analysis portion of the 3D scanning process.

  3. Next the type of Orthotic plate, heel posting, top cover and accommodations will be chosen depending on the results or your scan and your shoe gear.

  4. Finally the information is electronically transmitted to the manufacturer. The normal turn around time is 3 weeks, if desired we can place a rush on the manufacturing and shipping for an additional charge.

You will be contacted once we receive your Orthotics back from the manufacturer, and an appointment will need to be scheduled for the fitting. Very rarely adjustments will need to be made to the Orthotics, so it is important to let us know if there are any areas that are causing you discomfort. Although, it is very important to remember that there is a "breaking in" period that lasts 3-4 weeks as you body mechanics adjust to being in proper alignment. It is normal to experience some soreness in your knees, hips and lower back as your body comes into alignment. It is recommended that during the first week you only wear your Orthotics 2-3 hours per day, during the second week 4-6 hours, and usually by the third week you will be wearing your Orthotics full time.

Remember choosing a provider for your othotics is very important decision. The technology that we utilize will insure that your othotics are of the highest quality and fit.

Here are a few of the NHL players that have benefitted from wearing our 3D Scanned Orthotics.
